【Intensive English】
This course aims to develop students’ communication skills in English, to improve vocabulary and pronunciation and to work on the key language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students’ read many selected articles/short stories and are assigned a series of journal topics and essays to write.
1) Communications Skills:
Develop fluency and sophistication in professional communication situations through class discussion, class presentation and simulations of meeting and negotiations. This class will include effective telephone use, interviewing, networking.
2) Effective Business Writing:
Master the essential skills for writing in business. The class will focus on effective organization, appropriate tones and formats for business communication. Includes resume, business letters, memos, and short reports.
3) Grammar in Professional Communication:
Learn to appropriately use advanced grammatical structures both in speaking and writing. In this class, you will practice expressing and interpreting differences in meaning, learn to distinguish differences in closely related grammatical forms, and use new structures. You will use this learning immediately in a series of short writing and speaking tasks on professional topics.
4) Business English
The main focus of Business English is verbal and written communication. Throughout the program, students will actively engage in small group exercises, class discussions, and individual presentations that enable them to practice and receive feedback on speech, pronunciation, and grammar. In addition, business etiquette and appropriate business terminology are addressed so that students may incorporate them in day-to-day business life. Each session provides ample opportunity for students to practice verbal communication skills.

The internship is an essential aspect of the International Business Studies Certificate Program and provides students with the practical experience and skills needed for success in future careers.
